Sunday School
…We All Still Need It and
Doing the King's Mission Thing by Cathie Dexter
Sunday, June 23 through Friday, June 27, 2008—8 am to 5 pm
Praise the Lord! We have an exciting church wide mission project planned right here at home for this summer-- the Bayside Baptist Annex Renovation! Everyone is invited to help with our Renovation. We need you, so come on out and find out how you can help with the Renovation. Beginning Sunday afternoon, June 22, the trailer will be cleaned out, the panel removed and the carpet pulled out. Monday, June 23rd through Friday the 27th, from 8 am to 5 pm. The inside will be dry walled, remodeled to allow for more classroom space, carpeted, and painted. The outside will be sided and landscaped. Delicious meals will be served to all workers. This project takes the place of Bayside’s mission trip to another State as we have done in the past several years. The blessings gained will be many, which includes saving on your gasoline bill since this is a mission project at home in our own backyard!
WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT on time!!! The whole project needs to be done by Friday evening June 27 because the Food Bank will be open on Saturday morning, June 28 and the church will be setting up and decorating the fellowship hall on Sunday for the upcoming Vacation Bible School activities.
Plan to spend the week up at church "doing the King's thing"! There are many areas of help needed: labor inside and out, painting, meal preparation, and clean up. Donate your vacation time to help with this MUCH NEEDED project and receive the blessings of being a part of what God is doing in our midst.
This mission project at home will provide many rewards that include-- good fellowship with Bayside members and youth in a work setting, home cooked meals and desserts, and prayers will be offered for the community. Donation of food dishes for this project is most appreciated.
A sign up sheet is on the lobby bulletin board… please let us know when you will be there so we can have enough food.
For more information see Trustee Joe Herche or Cathie Dexter right away! We’re excited.
