A B O U T

Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Washington DC and raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland

which is in Prince Georges County.  

 

How large is the family you grew up in?
Besides my parents, I have two brothers. 

 

When and how did become a follower of Jesus Christ?
Throughout my childhood, my parents were committed to raising their children in a Christ-Centered home.  They faithfully took us to church, it seemed, whenever the doors were open.  John 3:16 was the first bible verse that I ever memorized.   “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, But have Everlasting Life.”   When I was close to 7 years old, that verse began to resonate with me.  It was then that  I finally began to realize what it meant to be a follower of Jesus.   

 

Besides my parents, I had wonderful Sunday School teachers, pastors, and leaders in my local church that invested in my life and who taught me about Jesus.  I remember the day that I surrendered my life to our Savior - just like it was yesterday.  I first made a private profession of my faith with my parents present.  I then made a public profession at my local church and the following week was baptized by immersion.   From that day forward, my desire has always been to serve our Savior with my heart, soul, and mind.  I thank God for His Grace, Mercy, Love, Forgiveness, and Salvation!  

 

Where did you go to college?
After High School, I attended Prince Georges Community College, where I received an Associates' degree in Business Administration. From there I went to Bowie State University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  After working and serving several years Bi-Vocationally, I went to Liberty University where I received a Masters of Theology Degree.  I continue to take classes so that I may be refreshed and continue to grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  

 

When and whom did you marry?
I married my teenage sweetheart - Sherri Renee Collinson on May 23, 1987.   

 

How many children do you have?
Sherri and I have three children, and two grandchildren..   Our oldest son Matthew is married to Emily, and they currently live in Jacksonville, FL.  Our middle son Luke is married to Natassia, and they currently live in Williamsburg, VA. with our granddaughter and grandson.  Our daughter Anna lives at home with mom and dad.
